This website began as a small project to acquaint individuals with the story behind the stuff that we buy, use, and discard. From that small beginning, The Story of Stuff Project has grown to a much more complex exploration of our relationship with Stuff through movies, podcasts, blog posts, and curricula that have reached millions worldwide. The Story of Cosmetics, The Story of Bottled Water, thoughts on how to get involved to reduce the power of Stuff over our lives, and more. Films are available for download free of cost for non-commercial sharing as well.
