Hi, I'm Joseph Beckenbach. I live in the Atlanta area of Georgia (US) with my wife and two daughters. My involvement with this community goes back some years.

My own interests include ecologically sound use of my household's resources, applying computer technology (especially software) in service to sustainable action, and supporting others in their quests for self-improvement.

I was a moderator and contributor early on at the Simple Living Network's discussion forums. I've been in and out there. currently actively participating. I captured and edited some of the content from one of its restarts; if I've resurrected it correctly, http://contrib.jrb3.com/SLNet/ should be active and legible to the world.

New Road Map Foundation's speakers bureau at one time debated going independent, as Financial Integrity Associates. I served on the prospective board, and we decided that the time wasn't right. I continue to speak on topics related to frugality, voluntary simplicity, and simple living.
